For a long time now I have been interested (curious?) about mediums and psychics - those who claim to be able to communicate with the dead.  My interest in this area started after I read a book by Doris Stokes called 'Voices in my ear'. Of course I do not know if all the stories she told were true but either way they were both very interesting and entertaining.

Personally i have only been to a medium once and this particular event was, what I feel, to be included on the lowest of the low list.  Absolutely everything she said was so far from anything in my life it was unreal!  All she did was shuffle about with standard playing cards,  verbally speak old fashioned names - I assume hoping to say one that might have meaning in  my life and throw out things like "in 7 of time", "an old man/woman with grey hair" (we all have some of those in our lives) and be generally VERY vague on what she was saying.  I assume when she saw I was not overly impressed she would start to claim that the 'connection' is very weak and 'they are struggling to come through' etc.  To be fair, I could be totally wrong about this particular person, she may have been struggling with the connection but after rattling off 15 or 20 different names both male and female WITHOUT saying a single one connected to me, I feel that she was not completely genuine. I have never been to a medium since this event, I do not know if it put me off, weakend my belief or just angered me. I do know I am nervous to try again - not totally knowing if I met a genuine medium I would like what was being said and not knowing if I could cope with it again.

This being said, my Wife and especially her Mum really enjoy this sort of thing and the one experience that comes to mind doesn't directly involve me - or to say, I wasn't there anyway.

My wife and her mum went to see a well known medium

A Medium Experience.
